雌猫のミエラは双子で弟の雄猫のリンと共に研究所で半生を過ごして来た。研究所で新薬の開発中に、受胎中の女性が服用すると、副作用としてヒトではなく胎児が半獣になって産まれてきてしまう。
研究所では、“アニマルズメイト” (ヒトと交尾が出来る動物)と呼ばれていた。主に研究員の性処理道具としての役割を与えられて居たが、
ヒトとしての言語、マナー、振る舞いなどは全く無く、猫そのもの。時折ゴロゴロ猫の喉がなるのは、ヒトとしての言語を習得しなかった為に
得た唯一のコミュニケーションの仕方なのか、それともヒトならざる半獣としての本能なのかは分からないが、それでも懸命に、“主人になったロウに懐いて”いる様子を見ると、幸せそうではある。

因みにズーリンガル装着後は翻訳機が翻訳してくれるのでロウにとっては猫語、人の言葉、どちらでも萌えるので結構便利。

やんちゃで甘えん坊、アクティブで物怖じしない性格。
